Mike Tyson is a boxing legend, but UFC veteran Chuck Liddell said that Mike Steel would have no chance against him in the octagon.

Since Conor McGregor “jumped” from UFC to boxing in 2017, combat sports fans have speculated about “cross-court” matches between top fighters in these disciplines.

Liddell believes that he will not be able to beat Tyson according to the rules of boxing.

However, this veteran boxer affirmed that Tyson would be beaten severely if the match used UFC rules.

In an interview, the UFC legend said: “When I was 19 years old, my grandfather said: ‘Hey, do you know Mike Tyson, I know that you can beat him.’

“And I answered him, ‘Sir, I wish …’.”

“To me, it’s funny. Because at this point, it feels great to see it become a serious question.”

“Who will win the fight, me or Mike? The answer is simple. Boxing is Mike and MMA is me.”

“He will only be able to attack once when I rush in, then… if not after that, he will definitely lose.”

Liddell has not fought since his 2018 loss to arch-rival Tito Ortiz. Like Tyson, the 49-year-old boxer is currently participating in Hollywood.

“I don’t think the aggression has gone away from me. I still like to fight.  Even though I wanted to fight, my body didn’t allow it, it was no longer able to satisfy my wishes, but anyway, it was better than deciding to give up.”

“I’ve tried a lot of potential jobs, but I’ve done a lot of filmmaking and I’m starting to really like it.  It seems like film is one of the things I’ve always wanted to do.”

“If I don’t compete in MMA anymore, I’ll have to find something else that I really love that I can put all my energy into and start building it.”
