Bon Jovi’s entire catalog is soaring when it comes to consumption in the U.S. The band was recently profiled in a multi-episode docuseries titled Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story, which premiered on Hulu in late April. As many of their older hits become popular once again, the group’s new single is also feeling the love.

“Legendary” was released about a month ago, and it quickly reached a handful of Billboard charts. Following their new docuseries, the single is performing better than ever, as it rises, returns, or debuts on a number of rankings this frame.

Bon Jovi's Comeback Single Is Bigger Than Ever

Perhaps most impressively, “Legendary” finally debuts on the Digital Song Sales chart this week. That tally lists the bestselling tunes in the U.S., regardless of genre. Bon Jovi’s latest release opens at No. 24 on the 25-spot roster, narrowly finding its way to the tally.

“Legendary” sold 1,887 copies in the past tracking period, according to Luminate. That’s up more than 500% from the period before, when it sold just 301 copies through the country.

All those pure purchases are enough to send “Legendary” back to the Rock Digital Song Sales chart as well. Bon Jovi’s new focus earns its second stay on the list, and it narrowly misses out on becoming another No. 1 for them. The single reappears at No. 2 on the tally–a new high point. It was beaten only by Hozier’s “Too Sweet,” which will likely end 2024 as one of the most successful rock tracks in the nation.

“Legendary” is also proving to be a hit at various forms of radio…though not with rock stations. The tune has already landed on two of Billboard’s pop-focused airplay tallies, and this frame, it reaches a new peak on one of them.

On the Adult Pop Airplay chart, “Legendary” climbs one rung to No. 21. That’s a new high point for the cut. It likely would have continued this ascent with or without the documentary, though the series surely helped. Over on the Adult Contemporary tally, the single holds at its No. 14 high point.
