LA Sparks prodigy and the 2nd pick of the 2024 WNBA draft Cameron Brink’s start to life in the WNBA has not been as glamorous as she would have wanted. Averaging 8.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.3 assists thus far, Brink knows there is plenty of scope for improvement.

The LA Sparks have won just one of their five regular season games, with their latest loss coming thrillingly against the Dallas Wings, ending 83-84 in favor of the visitors. Regardless, Brink evoked reactions from fans for her stylish pre-game outfit on Sunday.

The 22-year-old, who considers Stephen Curry her godbrother, wore a black Jean Paul Gaultier gown as she showed up for the game at the Crypto.com arena. The gown is listed at $1,080 on the official website.

Cameron Brink and LA Sparks’ search for wins continue

LA Sparks fell to a narrow loss against the Dallas Wings on Sunday despite Cameron Brink putting up a career-best WNBA performance. She continued her recent trend of improvement and returned with 21 points, three assists, and three rebounds against the Wings.

Brink’s previous career-best was 15, which came in her game against Indiana. Their only win of the season has come against the Washington Mystics, as they now prepare to take on the Fever once again.

Regardless, Brink is still optimistic, and took their latest defeat as further motivation:

“It felt like every other game. I think I just took the shots that were open and obviously it didn’t end the way we wanted it to so it doesn’t feel great,” she said. “It’s motivation for the next game.”

Hence, as Cameron Brink continues to settle down in the WNBA, fans can expect both her numbers and her team’s performances to improve.
