Celtics vs. Pacers Eastern Conference Finals Game 3 Results According To NBA 2K24

According to our NBA 2K24 simulation, the Boston Celtics will defeat the Indiana Pacers 114-105 in Game 3. Despite missing Tyrese Haliburton (read more on that below), the Pacers put up a good fight throughout the game. However, their efforts were in vain, as the Celtics ultimately claimed victory. Turnovers especially killed the Pacers, who allowed 8 steals on the night.

As we mentioned, turnovers killed the Pacers, who actually played well without Haliburton. But 11 turnovers on their end led to 16 points for the Celtics. Meanwhile, the Celtics were pretty careful with the ball, only turning it over twice. Yet despite this, Boston struggled to take a huge lead. In fact it almost looked as if the Pacers were coming back in this one.

However, poor clock management and missed opportunities ended the Pacers’ chances of winning this game.

In terms of player performances, Jayson Tatum once again earns the game ball. His near triple-double performance saw the star score 37 points while earning 8 rebounds and 11 assists. Furthermore, Tatum earned three steals throughout the contest. Jaylen Brown also played well, adding another 20 points to the board. Overall, it was a strong performance from the Celtics roster.

As for the Pacers, Pascal Siakam also nearly earned a triple double. He ended the night with 37 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. However, he turned the ball over four times, which cost the Pacers dearly later on. Myles Turner also played well, earning 21 points and 10 rebounds. Overall, the team didn’t play too bad in Haliburton’s absence.

With the win, the Celtics now take a 3-0 lead in the series. It seems less like a matter of if, but now rather when the Celtics will advance to the NBA Finals. If they can keep it up for just one more game, they won’t even have to worry about ending the series back home. If so, they can focus on the Finals while hoping for Kristaps Porzingis’ swift recovery. However, they still have one game left to win.

With the loss, the Pacers now desperately cling onto hope that they can come back. Whether Haliburton is healthy or not, the whole team needs to step up in this final stretch. They came back to beat the Knicks, and they can surely come back and beat the Celtics. They need to make some serious adjustments as they’ll for everything in Game 4.

In terms of accuracy, we feel the scoreboard feels fair and accurate. We were almost worried the score would end up being too high, like our Mavericks-Timberwolves simulations. However, everything ended up looking reasonably realistic. We’ll continue to make proper adjustments to make more realistic scores.

With Tyrese Haliburton’s injury status, we ultimately made the decision to remove him from the Game. It was a tough call to make, but logically it made sense. Although there’s a chance he plays, a re-aggravated hamstring and chest soreness will make it tough for him to play at 100%. If he does decide to play, we’re not really sure how much of an impact he will make.

We want to make the series accurate in terms of lineups. However, we can’t predict who will play and still get these simulations out before game-time. For some reason, I also couldn’t remove Luke Kornet, or else the Celtics’ roster would’ve auto-filled itself. I’m no GM, so cut me some slack here. Jokes aside, we still want to continue to make more accurate simulations.
