“They both have a strong family bond and values,” an insider told PEOPLE

It seems like romance is “burning red” between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

A source tells PEOPLE that things are getting “more serious” between the “Cruel Summer” singer, 33, and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34.

“It’s quickly turning more serious. They share a strong work ethic and have a huge appreciation for life and their careers, strong family bond and values,” says the source.

Kelce is also “sweet, goofy and just a blast to be around,” adds the source.

On Monday night, Swift and Travis stepped out for dinner at an Argentine steakhouse Piropos in Missouri, a day after the Midnights musician watched the Kansas City Chiefs battle the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.

Following the game on Sunday, which marked another win for the Chiefs, Travis’ dad Ed Kelce told PEOPLE that the “Karma” singer is “a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman.”

Ed, who was seen speaking with the “Lavender Haze” musician in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium on Oct. 12, said his initial impression that Swift is “very genuine” was proven accurate when first meeting with the singer.

“I’ll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her,” Ed said of Swift.

“We’re sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can.”

Ed added, “And I’m just thinking, I don’t think she got the diva memo. She didn’t get the spoiled musician. She doesn’t know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot.”
