Looking good for 50! Jon Bon Jovi makes a splash with his family in St Barts before heading off on tour

Jon Bon Jovi is making the best of a quick family vacation before heading out on a world tour next month.

The It’s My Life singer and his family have been on the Caribbean island for several days, ending and beginning the New Year relaxing on the sand.

By his side on Thursday was his wife Dorothea Hurley and two of their children, eight-year-old Romeo, 10-year-old Jacob.

Wearing little more than a pair of black swim trunks and a hat and sunglasses, the 50-year-old New Jersey native showed off his shirtless physique while his wife avoided the tan lines in a slimming brown one-piece.

The group enjoyed some waves along Shell Beach, where they have been staying with the rest of their brood, including 17-year-old Jesse James and his eldest daughter, 19-year-old Stephanie, who had to be rushed to hospital last month after an alleged drug overdose.

The Living on a Prayer singer was then joined by friends, including one who came off the beach from a yacht to bring the rocker a bottle of wine.

Tour prep: Jon stopped for some photos with fans, something he’ll be doing a lot of on tour

But he took a break from his shirtless peep show, popping on a casual shirt as he posed for photographs with fans.

The singer also announced that he will be heading on tour in 2013, starting off in Uncasville, Connecticut on Feb.9 before heading off for South Africa and Europe.

He and his group are scheduled for performances through the end of the summer as they head back to America for a stadium tour.
