Jon Bon Jovi Remembers Partying with Michael Jackson’s Pet Chimp Bubbles on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ — Watch!

Michael Jackson's Chimp Bubbles Hates Him

Jon Bon Jovi has had some crazy times.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, April 10, the rock icon, 62, reminisced about when he partied with Michael Jackson’s pet chimp, Bubbles.

After Jimmy Kimmel asked Jon if he’d had the opprotunity to spend time with the “Thriller” artist, he recalled a time when his band Bon Jovi and Jackson appeared in Tokyo during the same period of time.

“Everybody wanted to meet Michael Jackson. So, Richie [Sambora] and I had the opportunity to go up to his room, and we walked into his hotel room — which was all done up in mirrors so he could dance — and they actually took a wall out between these rooms,” Jon told the host, 56.

“In the hotel?” Kimmel asked, to which the “It’s My Life” artist replied: “They absolutely did because he was there for quite a while.”

After Jon told “The King of Pop” a story about how the band had bought disguises so they could hang out in public unseen, Jackson “played along” as if he had never done that.

“Of course, he’d done that all the time,” Jon said.

The Bon Jovi frontman was under the impression they had become “friends,” so he invited the “Beat It” singer to spend time with them on their floor.

“Unfortunately he didn’t come, but he sends Bubbles the chimp as his representative,” Jon recalled. “That was big. Bubbles comes down and wreaks havoc. Bubbles parties like a rock star.”

He explained that Bubbles was “jumping on the bed” and “putting on a show.”

“He hung hard,” Jon said. “We partied with Bubbles.”

According to the “Always” performer, Bubbles’ presence felt like “a lifetime” and hotel management threatened to throw the band out.
