Alica Schmidt, regarded by many as the “World’s Sexiest Athlete,” has qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, and the internet is loving it.

Schmidt, who hails from Germany, has a strong online presence and boasts millions of devoted fans. The track star was part of the mixed 4x400m relay for her country and has officially qualified for the games.

“What a night,” she said in an Instagram post where she tagged her teammates, Manuel Sanders, Johanna Martin, and Emil Agyekum.

“From paradise to Paris.”

Alica, who has over 5 million followers on IG, took to the platform before the qualifiers. “Time to fight for our tickets for the Olympic Games,” she wrote. “World relays starts tomorrow night, keep your fingers crossed.”

Alica Schmidt’s journey has been a long one. She took to social media to reveal her struggles last year.

“Season 2021 ✔️ Not gonna lie, I’m not satisfied with my races this year. I’ve worked harder than ever before day in day out pushed my limits in every workout and made so many sacrifices. It was not an easy year with my Covid Infection and torn ligaments but nevertheless, I know what I am capable of and I‘m hungry for more,” she wrote.

“Now, I’m going to take a break and I’m looking forward to coming back feeling fresh and ready to train hard again.”

Alica can now take some time to celebrate reaching a major milestone, having earned the opportunity to represent her country in the 2024 Olympic Games.
