Taylor Swift is on top of the world right now. Having dominated the music sphere for several years, the pop sensation has made a deep foray into sports, given her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, and is becoming even more popular.

While Taylor is considered a musical genius, a psychologist has made some shocking claims pertaining to her mental health, having branded the singer as autistic.

Dr. Kim Gillbee, PhD, published an article on Medium called “Taylor’s Totalitarianism: Psychologist Reveals 3 Controversial Insights into Swift’s Spellbinding Sorcery” in which she details Swift’s supposed autism, claiming that the artist’s lyrics, behavior in public, and well-documented dating history suggests she suffers from the disorder.

“Now, through my training and working with people for so many years, I’ve developed a pretty good bulls**t meter,” she wrote.

“She is Autistic. Although not possible to diagnose anyone without a proper assessment, my impression, based on clinical experience, is that Taylor is likely on the autism spectrum.”

Is Taylor Swift Autistic?

Gillbee noted that autistic males are more likely to struggle verbally and appear “emotionally aloof.” Autistic females, on the other hand, are typically verbally skilled, empathetic, and emotionally sensitive, though they may have difficulty containing their emotions.

“Females on the spectrum are also often exquisitely sensitive to the human experience and the nuances of felt emotion, something Taylor puts to brilliant use in her music,” she explained. “The singer has spoken about using music to help her cope with overwhelming emotions and experiences.”

She adds that songs such as Maroon and Lavender Haze lend to the notion that Taylor Swift has a “common comorbidity of autism… synesthesia, a condition where sensory stimulus involuntarily elicits an experience in a different sensory pathway, such as seeing colors as feelings or perceiving numbers in specific locations or events.”

Gillbee says Taylor’s fame is “inorganic” and her music is “dangerous” later in her article.

Psychologist Claims Taylor Swift’s “Normal” Is All An Act

Dr. Gillbee has also claimed that Taylor Swift’s “normal” behavior is all an act. She claims that Swift has become so good at imitating normal that she seems more normal than normal itself.

“Celebrities and interviewers who meet Taylor often say they were blown away by how ‘normal’ she is. I think that her life is so abnormal that it’s not normal for her to be normal,” she wrote.

She also used one of Swift’s lines from the 2020 hit “Mirrorball.” In the song, Taylor says, “I’ve never been a natural. All I do is try, try, try.”

“The masking is evident to me when watching Swift speak, in her exaggerated facial expressions and social cues,” she notes.

Making such a proclamation without an in-person evaluation is pretty wild, not to mention risky. Of course, Taylor’s probably never going to respond to this.
