Spice Girls reunion! Victoria Beckham joins Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell to perform at her 50th birthday party as she declares it’s ‘the best night ever!’

The Spice Girls officially reunited while celebrating Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday in London on Saturday.

The British girl group – which was formed back in 1994 – consists of Beckham, Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell.

During the lavish festivities, all five of the Spice Girls came together to sing one of their hit tracks, Stop, for the star-studded guests – which was all caught on camera by David Beckham

The former soccer player could be seen with an excited smile on his face as the group showed off a few dance moves while singing along to the lyrics. Other partygoers also joined in on the fun during the special moment.

In the caption of the post, David penned to his followers, ‘I mean come on x @victoriabeckham @melaniecmusic @officialmelb @emmaleebunton @gerihalliwellhorner,’ followed by colorful heart emojis.

The Spice Girls is a girls group that was formed in 1994 with Beckham (Posh Spice), Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice).

The group is known for releasing hits such as Wannabe (1996) – which helped skyrocket their career in the industry – as well as 2 Become 1 (1996) and Viva Forever (1997).

Amid the success, a Spice Girls feature film titled, Spice World, was released in theaters and became a box office success. However, in 2000, the group went on a hiatus while members focused on their own solo careers.

The performers reunited from 2007 to 2008 for the Return Of The Spice Girls Tour, and once again for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

In 2019, the group came together once again to embark on a Spice World Tour – but Beckham did not join.

Last month in March, Mel B stated that the Spice Girls would reunite for the 30th anniversary amid rumors during an appearance on Loose Women. 

‘We are definitely doing something…I’m probably going to get told off but I’ve said it, there we go! We are doing something this year. I’m in trouble now…,’ she stated at the time.

However in February, Melanie C told The Sun of Mel B: ‘I adore her and she has this thing, and it can sometimes get us into hot water. Of course we’re always talking, we’d love to do something else.’

‘I’d love to get back on stage with the girls but everybody wants to do something a little bit different or in a different way, so it’s just trying to get everyone on the same page at the same time.’

She added, ‘But Melanie likes to manifest things and she thinks if she says it enough, it will happen. I can’t confirm that there is anything happening soon but we’re always talking about opportunities.’

Earlier this month, Victoria gave an update on the Spice Girls reuniting for the 30th anniversary while talking to Radio France.

‘We do have a group chat, I do speak to all the girls. It would be lovely for us to do something to celebrate – a dinner or a lunch – and reminisce, but yes it will not be any more than that.’

The bash was held at private members’ club Oswald’s in London for the elegant black tie affair, with 100 guests enjoying dinner, fizz and cocktails – and dancing into the early hours

Aside from the Spice Girls reunion, Victoria’s 50th birthday party over the weekend was a memorable night.

Geri Halliwell Horner turned up with a smile, one of the last to arrive, having seemingly moved on from the ‘sexting’ scandal involving her husband, Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner.

He was absent though, due to work commitments. Emma Bunton arrived with husband Jade Jones, closely followed by Melanie Chisholm (Melanie C) and Melanie Brown (Mel B).

‘It meant the world to Victoria that they were all there,’ said a friend. ‘They were a huge part of her life and they shared so much together.’

‘They were special days and so of course to have them there to mark her 50th was just wonderful for her. It made everything so perfect.’

The party was just one of several celebrations to mark her half century, which fell on Wednesday.

Victoria opted for a light green floor-length gown from her own range, while daughter Harper, 13, chose a cream camisole style dress also from her mother’s collection.

Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz all wore Dior, while David was dressed in luxury Italian brand Loro Piana.

Alongside photos shared on Instagram, Victoria wrote: ‘Can’t wait to celebrate with my friends and family! I love you all so much!’

Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn’s wife, was forced to miss the event after her grandmother suddenly fell ill and she dashed to be at her side.

There was one slight hitch: despite her best efforts, Victoria’s broken foot hadn’t healed enough for her to ditch her crutches.

But she was able to swap her moon boot for stilettos. Guests enjoyed ‘Italian inspired platters’ for starters and main courses of steak and sea bass. Victoria was also presented with a huge birthday cake.

Her husband paid tribute to his wife of almost 25 years before all four of their children stood up to speak about their mother.

A source told The Sun ‘there wasn’t a dry eye in the house’ as they spoke about their love for the pop songstress-turned fashion designer – while also making jokes about the birthday girl.

They added: ‘David really splashed the cash. He wanted it to be extra-special for her after she always makes such an effort for everyone else.’

Actress Salma Hayek also glammed up for the night as well as Tom Cruise who was dressed to impress.
