Taylor Swift is on top of the world right now following the release of her 11th studio album and her highly successful Eras tour.

With the release of The Tortured Poets Department, Swift has made all kind of headlines, including an apparent Kim Kardashian ‘diss track’.

Her former beau, Matt Healy, was also apparently mentioned in the new album, as well as long-term former partner, Joe Alwyn.

And before her incredible new album, Swift was propelled into billionaire status, making her one very rich individual indeed.

Well, way before her billionaire status, she was just like me and you (believe it or not). And now, two of Swift’s former teachers have spoken out saying they couldn’t be prouder of her as she continues to get bigger and bigger.

While it may have been many years since she was at school, Barbara Kolvek still beams with pride when she talks about the students she has taught over the years.

However, none more so have turned out as famous Swift.

Speaking of what the singer was like at school, Kolvek told CBS Philadelphia: “She always was writing poetry, always. Even in music class, even when she shouldn’t.”

The retired music teacher had Swift in her class from first through fourth grade at the Wyndcroft School in Pottstown.

“I did give her very first singing solo!” Kolvek admitted. “‘Fast Talk Freddie’, I believe it was called.”

She added: “I feel like maybe I gave her a little spark or encouragement to do what she was doing.

“I would say how proud I was of her and that she has never lost her focus and she’s never lost the real person that she is.

“She’s always been very honest and open, and I admire that in her.”

Heather Brown taught Swift in third year, and she has been speaking about the singer’s ‘special quality’.

“You always remember every student from the quality they have. Taylor’s quality was just being she was one of those students where people just drew to,” she told CBS Philadelphia.

“When she comes out on stage and everyone’s screaming ‘Taylor,’ it’s like, oh my gosh, like I was her teacher,” the proud teacher added.

This comes after Swift responded to reviews of her ‘brutal’ new album.

The global superstar took to her Instagram stories on Sunday (21 April) to repost multiple reviews from her 11th studio album.

One particular`review from the Rolling Stone dubbed the 34-year-old as “confused, bitter, raging, vulnerable, yet more gloriously chaotic than we’ve ever heard her before”

The singer shared the review alongside a caption that read: “And that’s the closest I’ve come to my heart exploding.”
