(C)Travis Kelce happily details feeling ‘like an amateur’ during his FIRRST TV acting gig

When Kansas City Chiefs tight end signed on to Grotesquerie—a new FX horror series from veteran showrunner Ryan Murphy—he joined a long lineage of great NFL players dabbling in acting.

However, as Kelce detailed in Wednesday’s edition of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, he still is adjusting to life in the Hollywood sphere.

“I feel like an amateur. And I haven’t gotten fired yet so we’re doing good,” Kelce said. “They haven’t told me to f—ing kick rocks after the first week, so it’s been awesome.”

Kelce is starring alongside Niecy Nash-Betts, two-time Emmy winner Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.

“It’s been so much fun,” he said. “Ryan Murphy is (an) unbelievable writer, director, producer, all of the above, man. He’s just—there’s nothing he can’t do and everybody’s just been so helpful in making me feel comfortable.”

Murphy, 58, has created GleeAmerican Horror Story and numerous other big-ticket shows.

As for Kelce, the Chiefs are scheduled to open their bid for a Super Bowl three-peat on Sept. 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.
