Jason Kelce is always welcome at Philadelphia Eagles headquarters, of course. But as he contemplated his next move after retirement, the Philly folk hero and Hall of Fame-level center seems like he’s quite occupied with …

Trying to find something to be occupied with.

“Kelce has been in the building almost every single day,” Eagles kicker Jake Elliott recently told NFL Network.

Kelce, of course, announced his official retirement from the NFL back in March after 13 highly successful seasons with the Eagles. There is the podcast, of course. And there is the offer to sign a massive deal with ESPN to join “Monday Night Countdown,” with the idea of Kelce as a TV star seemingly a natural fit.

“Nothing’s been officially inked yet or announced yet. But obviously, there’s been a lot of reports out there about me going to ESPN,” Kelce said on the New Heights podcast. “It’s a tremendous honor to even be considered to potentially work there.”

But in the meantime?

His wife, Kylie, is jokingly on the record as saying her husband needs to “get out of the house” and that a certain pastime for some retirees doesn’t seem to fit.

“Golf,” she said, “isn’t going to cut it.”

So, instead … Kelce – maybe a creature of habit – finds himself showing up at NovaCare Complex. Maybe just because.

That habit naturally leads to speculation that the Eagles might be able to lure him out of retirement, an issue that was presented to Elliott.

“That’s not my deal,” he said. “You can talk to Jason about that.”

And if you want to “talk to Jason about that”? You know where to find him.
