While many consider Stephen Curry an exceptional talent who has changed the dimension of the game, Gilbert Arenas made it to the headlines with his controversial opinion about the sharpshooter and Nikola Jokic not being the generational talent.

During an episode of the “Gils Arena Show,” the former Magic guard made heads turn by stating, “Steph [Curry] is not a generational talent…Generational infers you can’t mimic it.

Can you mimic Magic Johnson, a 6’9″ point guard with vision? You can’t mimic LeBron James – it’s about physical attributes. You can’t mimic Victor Wembanyama… [Nikola] Jokic is not a generational talent.”

According to Agent Zero, the skills of a generational talent cannot be replicated. NBA legend Johnson, 20-time All-Star LeBron, and ROTY Wembanyama are the players whose abilities cannot be mimicked.

Still, the Warriors superstar and 3-time MVP do not fall in the same category. With his latest inclusion in the list of odd takes, Arenas sent shock waves on the internet.

Social Media Reacts to Gilbert Arenas’ Take on Stephen Curry

Following his latest remark on the generational talents in the league, Gilbert Arenas came to the limelight on social media.

His take on Stephen Curry went viral on X (formerly known as Twitter), stirring up intense reactions from the NBA community who disagreed with the 42-year-old.

After listening to Arena’s comment, a fan stated, “Gilbert literally has the WORST takes.”

While another commented, “You will never get another shooter like Steph Curry. That’s generational talent!”

“Gilbert arenas is the worst person to ever happen to the NBA”, added one fan.

Comparing Curry with the Lakers great, someone wrote, “It will be easier to find another Lebron James, than another Curry. Lets not get into the fact that Curry changed how the game is played, Lebron changed nothing.”

Whereas another fan using a series of laughing emojis pointed out Arenas’ strategy to go viral with his odd opinion, “this just shows buddy be talking to go viral. all that 90s hate super invalid.”

Arenas might have a different opinion about Curry. Still, there is no doubt that the Warriors guard has been performing at his best level consistently for 15 seasons and etched his name as one of the greatest 3-point shooters ever.
