While he’s not as old as LeBron James, Steph Curry isn’t young anymore either, with retirement several years away. A manager has just mentioned his replacement… and that risks causing controversy.
Still eliminated in the play-in, the Warriors are clearly at the end.
The franchise hasn’t been able to do it for a few seasons and Klay Thompson could leave the ship this summer, a sign that the dynasty may be over.
But for fans, the most important thing is obviously Steph Curry , one of the greatest players in the league. And the Dubs will have to find a replacement for him.
A replacement for Steph Curry found?
Is the front office thinking about it? Unlikely. But a leader of an opposing team already has an idea, since he mentioned the name of Dejounte Murray to land at Golden State. A rather surprising name when you know the leader of the Hawks, but this executive justified himself during an interview with Sean Deveney.
NBA executive : “Of all the guys the Warriors can get, Dejounte Murray is probably the most realistic because he’s not getting a lot of money. They could take him back, put him in place of Chris Paul, give the first 1/2 rounds and now you have defense and another scorer, a guy who makes sense. He can defend three positions, he’s a decent shooter and he won’t break the bank. »
Murray to replace Curry? Let’s say that it’s not the first name that comes to mind. The leader comes out of an honest campaign with 22.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.4 assists, but let’s say that it will take more to convince the fans.
Uh what?
Curry is irreplaceable
Replace Steph Curry, what’s more with Dejounte Murray? You had to dare, although the leader of the Hawks had a great season. His departure seems in any case confirmed, it remains to be seen whether the Warriors will try it.
