Will Bronny James be chosen in the draft for his talent or because of his last name? Those close to him have insisted that he has the level for the NBA, but his latest decision raises questions. And it’s Shams Charania who announces it.
While the draft will take place in a few weeks, Bronny James will be there.
Convinced of having the level of the NBA, LeBron’s son will maintain his candidacy and present himself for the event.
And while he was announced in the top 50/60 following the draft combine, he could actually make a jump in the first round thanks… to his father.
We will have to closely monitor the 22nd pick according to Shams Charania, belonging to the Suns.
The Arizona franchise is interested in the idea of choosing Bronny according to the insider, with one goal: to sign LeBron James, who will soon be a free agent .
That doesn’t mean the King is interested, but Phoenix leaders want to give themselves the best chance of recruiting the Akron native.
Bronny James helped by LeBron in the draft?
But it’s not the strangest decision, according to Charania.
Indeed, it turns out that Bronny had 10 private training sessions with several teams, just to validate his place for the draft and convince recruiters.
The first will therefore be with the Suns, the second with… the Lakers. Obviously.
Bronny James had planned 10 workouts with NBA teams, but he decided to decline all but two: Lakers and Suns, according to Shams Charania. Phoenix will seriously consider the idea of taking him in 22nd place.
A scenario that looks like a bad joke, with Bronny who could have an advantage thanks to his status. It didn’t take much to cause controversy.
It’s hilarious. The Lakers and Suns want to waste a pick just to attract LeBron. Not surprising knowing that both front offices suck.
Bronny James should therefore leave for the Suns and the Lakers, which is terrible news for a young player who needs minutes… and who only wants the NBA. Let’s hope for a twist in this affair which is taking a sad turn.
