21 years after his arrival, LeBron James dreams of seeing his eldest son, Bronny, join him in the NBA.

However, the context that the latter must face turns out to be very different from that with which the King had to deal, which led him to make a big confession.

In a certain way, their trajectories can be brought closer to each other.

After all, Bronny and LeBron James both saw their performances on the high school circuit quickly scrutinized by observers and NBA scouts.

The comparison could even expand in a few weeks, while the 19-year-old guard hopes to secure a place in the big league during the upcoming Draft.

However, unlike his father two decades earlier, Bronny is not really unanimous about his talent.

In any case, this does not necessarily displease him, he who is firm about not wanting to follow in the footsteps of the King during his numerous interviews these days. Interviews that the leader of the Lakers apparently followed closely.

LeBron James impressed by Bronny’s maturity

In the latest episode of his podcast Mind The Game , LeBron said two words about his eldest son’s draft process and did not hide his amazement at him:

LeBron James: I like the fact that Bronny has a mindset like, “At this point in my life and my basketball journey, I know what I’m worth and how to impact the game.”

He’s really a player obsessed with winning and I love his state of mind.

When I heard some of his answers to the questions he was asked, I was shocked because we had never talked about it before.

He is definitely not her father and I am not him.

If I were him, I wouldn’t be able to handle the attention and all the things he has to deal with at his age and with social media.

If today he positions himself as a regular user of social networks, LBJ did not have to endure the flood of criticism that was poured out there when he left high school.

An observation which he rejoices in, affirming that he would probably not have known how to keep his head held high in the face of this like Bronny does.

A phenomenon that Bryce, his youngest son, should not escape either despite the viral support from his father:

Keep it up young🤴🏾

Arriving in the NBA before the emergence of social networks, LeBron James can still feel he had to resist a certain pressure. However, he affirms that this had nothing to do with the one faced by Bronny, before whom he shows admiration.
