Since the teenage guard announced his intention to enter the 2024 NBA Draft, his next team has not been determined. Bronny James has again gained significant attention in the NBA community.

The oldest son of LeBron James performed well in high school. He didn’t have the finest USC performance but made an impression at the Combine.

NBA insider Shams Charania provided an update on Bronny’s prospective future. He outlines what LeBron James may accomplish should his kid be selected by a team other than the Lakers.

“It would not surprise me in the coming weeks. If a team does reach out to Rich Paul or anyone who’s around Bronny James, or anyone who has any idea, or LeBron James himself and says, ‘Hey, if we draft Bronny James, would you come as well?’ And the answer to that is no, as of right now,” Charania told on Adams’ show.

According to Charania, the Lakers believe Bronny, a 19-year-old guard, is an excellent match and want to choose him. The team is searching for a new head coach. So, this is a crucial issue for the players and the team’s future.

Following their season-ending breakup with Darvin Ham, the Lakers have been connected to JJ Redick, Sam Cassell, and James Borrego, among others.

The Lakers Reportedly Interviewed LeBron James’ son, Bronny James, During the Combine

The Lakers interviewed Bronny James at the Chicago NBA Combine, demonstrating their genuine interest in his potential. James put up a strong show for scouts and executives. He scored 13 points in two scrimmage games after starting with just four.

According to the NBA website, the Los Angeles Times’ Dan Woike reports that the Lakers are considering choosing Bronny with the No. 55 overall choice in the draft.

“In terms of the draft, the Lakers seem like they’ll be the draft floor for Bronny James at pick 55, a player the team conducted an interview with in Chicago, according to sources not authorized to publicly discuss draft strategy,”

The Lakers will have to wait and see if they can acquire Bronny. The Utah Jazz are also rumored to be interested in the USC product.
