Celebrity Wedding Anniversary: Jon & Dorothea Bon Jovi 29/4/1989
In an interview with classicrock.com, Bon Jovi revealed that Dorothea Hurley was going out with one of his friends before he left for the Navy and the future spouses found themselves in a history class together.

“I was doing nothing to help my studies along. It started with just trying to look over her shoulder at test answers, to making small talk.”
The pair briefly spit for four years into their relationship and then he returned with a proposition; “I went to her mom’s house, and did the whole, you know: ‘You’ve got to come with me. I wanna be back together, (thing). And she fell for it.”

While on a stop in Los Angeles on The New Jersey Syndicate Tour in 1989, Bon Jovi took secret trip to Las Vegas to marry his high school sweetheart on 29th April 1989 at the Graceland Wedding Chapel.

They couple now have four children together; Stephanie Rose, Jesse James Louis, Jacob Hurley and Romeo Jon.
