Doc Rivers May Get Fired Before Playoffs After Latest Bucks Loss
The Milwaukee Bucks were 30-13 when they made the bizarre decision to fire Adrian Griffin and replace him with perpetual playoff underperformer, Doc Rivers.
Since then Milwaukee has gone 17-18 and are currently losers of four straight games.
In their last 10 outings the Bucks are 3-7. If not for the Eastern Conference being in a total state of chaos this year (for perspective, the Orlando Magic sit third in the East) Rivers and Co. would be facing a lot more heat.
As would the fact that Rivers keeps coming out and insulting his team, calling them “unprofessional” and whatnot.
Following the Bucks’ most recent loss, a 122-109 loss to the New York Knicks, chatter about Rivers getting fired ahead of the playoffs intensified.

“I’m frustrated and they’re frustrated,” he said this past week.
“I guess that’s a good thing. But that’s not gonna get you anywhere. Frustration gets you nowhere. We gotta work ourselves through this.
“You can feel it… One of the officials even said, ‘Man, you can feel the heaviness of your team right now.’ And that happens and we have to play ourselves through it.”
Obviously if the Bucks go on some sort of run and advance far in the playoffs, nobody will care much about their regular season struggles.
But it is hard to see that happening.
Will Rivers’ run with the Bucks last all of half a season? Time will tell.
