NBA legend LeBron James has denied rumors of his son transferring colleges.
On Tuesday, a report surfaced that James’ eldest son, Bronny, was entering the transfer portal.

Bronny, 19, played his freshman season at USC.
Initially, Bronny was viewed as a one-and-done player, meaning he’d enter the NBA Draft after his freshman season, but a cardiac arrest to start the year stunted his time on the court and overall stock.
Before James’ game against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, a National Sportswriters Hall of Fame member leaked that Bronny could potentially be on the move in a now-deleted social media post.
“USC freshman guard Bronny James is entering the transfer portal,” Dick Weiss wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Good for him. Needs to get away from the Hollywood hype.
“Best of luck to LeBron’s kid.”
After the Los Angeles Lakers 128-111 victory over the Raptors, James responded to the rumors.
“I don’t know where [the reports] came from but at the end of the day, Bronny is his own man and he has some tough decision to make,” he told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
“As his family we gonna support whatever he does.”
Eventually, Weiss retracted his statement and offered an apology.
“Can’t confirm Bronny James story guys,” Weiss acknowledged.
“Still think its an idea whose time has come. Make sense it happens.
“I love the kid, think he could be a star elsewhere.”
Weiss also reposted on X the potential suitors for Bronny if he transfers.
Duke, Ohio State, UCLA, Xavier, and Rutgers are the favorites to recruit the son of the NBA legend.
In his lone season at USC, Bronny appeared in 25 games.
He averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 19.4 minutes per game.
Bronny missed the first eight games of the season after suffering a cardiac arrest in July during the Trojans offseason workouts.
In his collegiate debut, Bronny scored four points in a game against Long Beach State on December 10.
Just over one month later, Bronny made his first collegiate start on January 13.
However, after just five more starts, he’d close the season coming off the bench.
