He spoke about the work he’s put into his game while acknowledging the need for adjustments this deep into his career alongside Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

Stephen Curry Gives Cryptic Answer About Warriors' Future: "I Just Want To Win"

“We understand the league has changed, We’re getting deeper into our careers and we have to continue to evolve, make the necessary adjustments to win games. But we put a lot of time into it. I think I worked harder than I ever have in being able to prepare for a season and perform at the level that I expect, and those two guys have been through it with me.”

Curry remains focused on winning and hopes the summer brings him closer to a winning situation in Golden State.

“At the end of the day, I just want to win. I know that’s fully possible. I know the summer is going to be a lot of conversations and trying to set up ourselves to win, whatever that means. I hope that’s the outcome.”

Curry was the best player for the Warriors in their 94-118 loss to the Kings which ended their season. He scored 22 points on 50% shooting but struggled to assert himself in the game because of great defense from Keon Ellis and other players who switched onto him.

The Warriors have an interesting summer ahead with plenty of big decisions. The biggest dilemma is Klay Thompson, as his contract will expire. The parties couldn’t agree on an extension over the season, but Klay heading into the summer coming off a scoreless elimination game performance won’t bode well for him with the Warriors or on the open market.

Steve Kerr And Draymond Green Want Klay Back

Fans have been debating if the Warriors dynasty ended tonight, especially with Klay’s uncertain future. While the trio won’t be guaranteed a deep playoff run anymore, Draymond Green and coach Steve Kerr want to keep the trio together by re-signing Klay in the offseason.

“We need Klay back,” Steve Kerr said. Kerr added “he still has good years left. And I speak for everyone, we want him back.”

Draymond thinks keeping Klay on the roster is in the best interests of the team overall.

“They’ll make the decision that’s best for the team … I don’t think there’s any scenario where Klay leaves and that’s the best decision for the team.”

Whether Klay leaves or not will be the biggest storyline around the Warriors this summer. There is reported interest in Klay from teams like the Orlando Magic, but we don’t know what kind of a price they’re willing to offer Klay and if that would make the Warriors uncomfortable enough to let him walk.

Another contract dilemma the Warriors have to work with is Chris Paul, who will also hit free agency in the summer. Paul is more dispensable, as he’s unlikely to be tempted away by a big-money offer and there are better functional guards the Warriors can acquire in free agency or through trades to better serve their needs.
