Will Giannis Antetokounmpo Play Against the Orlando Magic? What Is the Condition of the Greek Freak’s Injury?

According to a recent post by NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski on his social media account on X (formerly known as Twitter), Milwaukee Bucks star player Giannis Antetokounmpo will quickly return to play as his injury is not at risk.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Greek Freak, left the game in the second half of his team’s 104-91 victory over the Boston Celtics because of a painful, non-invasive leg injury.

Late in the third quarter, Antetokounmpo walked along when he unexpectedly collapsed. When he recognized something was wrong, he felt for his left calf and was found to be limping heavily as he made his way to the locker room.

Soon after the injury, Giannis went to the medical facility. However, after the game, Bucks coach Doc Rivers revealed that the MRI would be done for Antetokounmpo’s left leg injury.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists before his injury.

According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s left Achilles tendon is fully intact, and his return to play will depend on how quickly his left calf strain heals.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the star player of the Milwaukee Bucks; without him, it would have been challenging to win against the top-positioned teams during the 2023–2024 NBA season playoffs.

Before his injury, Antetokounmpo had 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. Before Tuesday’s game, the Greek Freak had the NBA’s second-best scoring average, averaging 30.7 points. This season, he is also averaging 6.5 assists and 11.6 rebounds.

Although the severity of Antetokounmpo’s calf strain is uncertain, the Bucks were unprepared for it when it occurred. The playoffs begin next week, and if Antetokounmpo is out for a lengthy period, the Bucks may struggle to avoid falling in the first round for the second consecutive year.
