LeBron James was, as often, in front of his TV to watch Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final. So he saw the qualification of the Celtics and especially the snub of Jayson Tatum.

He was quick to react on social networks, congratulating the winner of the title of MVP of the series.

When the Celtics managed to afford the services of Jrue Holiday last October, in addition to the arrival of Kristaps Porzingis a few months earlier, the entire NBA microcosm agreed that another result than qualifying for the Finals would be a bitter failure.

From one end of the season to the other, Joe Mazzulla’s men lived up to their status as favorites.

To illustrate this domination in the Eastern Conference, Boston finished the exercise with 14 victories ahead of its runner-up New York, when only 11 separated the Thunder from the Warriors, first and tenth in the West.

Their playoff campaign was not more complicated, since they only lost 2 games on the road to the Finals.

Now, Jayson Tatum and his partners will have to avenge the 2022 defeat against the Warriors, but be careful, they will undoubtedly face the Mavericks in great shape and full of confidence.

The good news is that Jaylen Brown might be motivated by his surprising Conference Finals MVP title and the message from LeBron James that followed.

🫡Jaylen Brown!!!! Keep it up young 👑! RESPECT !

With 29.8 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists on average, Jaylen Brown has just been designated by journalists as the MVP of this Eastern Conference final, even though Jayson Tatum dominated him in all statistical categories.

It is perhaps the skill which was rewarded, since he never fell below 50% success in 4 matches. Judging from his face, even he was surprised:

Jaylen Brown was valuable for the Celtics, especially in the last minutes of Game 4. The journalists therefore decided to offer him this title of MVP of the series, the first of his career. It remains to be seen whether the confidence will carry through to the Finals.
