Lady Gaga’s electric Super Bowl halftime performance is pretty much all anyone talked about on Monday — but some are less concerned with her patriotic version of “God Bless America” and more interested in how her belly rolled while performing.
Apparently, to some Internet bullies, this is what a “pot belly” looks like:

“Was her stomach not hanging over her belly shirt? yes it was and it looked horrible. #TRUTH.”
Really? The “belly” was so distracting to some viewers that they claimed they couldn’t concentrate on her performance.
The pop princess has openly been vocal about her past struggles with bulimia and anorexia, so her Little Monsters (and everyone else with a brain) instantly took to social media to defend her.
If Lady Gaga had a pot belly during the Super Bowl performance then what the hell do I have? ????

Thankfully, more people seemed interested in Gaga’s awesome performance.
“We’re here to make you feel good,” she told the cheering crowd during her performance. And judging by the thousands of supportive tweets post-performance by her fans, she did make them feel good.
Haters gonna hate anyway, right? Gaga responded on Tuesday in the most epic body-positive post:
ladygaga: “I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I’m proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do. I could give you a million reasons why you don’t need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That’s the stuff of champions. thank you so much everyone for supporting me. I love you guys. Xoxo, gaga”
