Director Moritz Mohr leads Hollywood heavyweights in a bloody, adrenaline-packed thriller.
Boy Kills World has the potential to catapult Skarsgård into a major action franchise.
The upcoming gory action film Boy Kills World shows beyond a doubt that Bill Skarsgård was disappointingly underused in his John Wick: Chapter 4 role.
Just a little more than a year after John Wick: Chapter 4’s earth-shattering debut, Boy Kills World will premiere on April 26, 2024, with Skarsgård out from under the spotlight of Keanu Reeves’ idolized hitman John Wick and performing in the lead. Skarsgård will play a deaf person called Boy who embarks on an adrenaline-packed journey to seek vengeance against the corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty responsible for the murders of his loved ones.
Boy Kills World will be the directorial debut of Moritz Mohr, supported by Hollywood notables such as Skarsgård, X-Men alum Famke Janssen, Stranger Things’ Brett Gelman, Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery, Happy Death Day’s Jessica Rothe, and well-know director Sam Raimi producing.
Roadside Attractions recently released Boy Kills World’s trailer, revealing that the cast and crew aim to give audiences a bloody good time that could rival the John Wick franchise. If not, Boy Kills World will, at the very least, demonstrate how to optimize Skarsgård’s aptitude for action roles properly.
Boy Kills World Proves John Wick 4 Wasted Bill Skarsgård’s Action Movie Abilities
Skarsgård was John Wick: Chapter 4’s main antagonist, the Marquis Vincent de Gramont, an emissary of the High Table tasked with eliminating Wick. Despite the film’s high-action intensity and the role coming in conflict with the adept assassin Wick himself, the Marquis was mild-mannered in comparison.
Bill Skarsgård’s upcoming film Boy Kills World looks like an absolutely wild action movie that could fill the cinematic hole left by John Wick.
The Boy Kills World trailer promises the movie will be a high-octane action extravaganza, with Skarsgård taking up many of the trailer’s moments embroiled in savagely bloody brawls full of stunts and a myriad of weapons.
He looks great in the role, seeming comfortable and convincing in the fight sequences, and not to mention, Skarsgård got incredibly ripped to complement the character. Seeing Skarsgård stand out in such a role is disappointing in so much that John Wick: Chapter 4 fumbled the chance to make the Marquis a more action-oriented antagonist.
