Nicolas Cage is paying tribute to his late ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley.
One day after the 54-year-old singer passed away in Los Angeles after possible cardiac arrest, the Leaving Las Vegas actor, who was married to Lisa for four months in 2002, spoke out about the “devastating news.”
“Lisa had the greatest laugh of anyone I ever met,” Nicolas said in a statement to E! News Jan. 13. “She lit up every room, and I am heartbroken.”
Referring to her son Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide in July 2020 at age 27, he added, “I find some solace believing she is reunited with her son Benjamin.”
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” she told People Jan. 12. “She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers.”
Since then, stars have been paying tribute to Elvis Presley‘s only child and celebrating her life as a singer and mom to four children: daughter Riley Keough, 33, and her late son Benjamin, with ex-husband Danny Keough, and 14-year-old twins Harper and Finley, whom she shares with ex-husband Michael Lockwood.

Despite grieving the loss of her son, Lisa expressed her determination to remain the best mom to her three daughters.
“It’s a real choice to keep going, one that I have to make every single day and one that is constantly challenging to say the least,” she wrote in a 2022 essay for People in honor of National Grief Awareness Day. “But I keep going for my girls.”
On Jan. 13, Riley rep confirmed to E! News that Lisa’s final resting place will be at Graceland in Tennessee, next to her beloved son.
