Pete Davidson’s entertainment boat idea could not float for long.
SUMMARY
Pete Davidson and Colin Jost once bought a boat together which they wanted to turn into an entertainment venue.
It has been quite a long time since this announcement was made and nothing much has happened since then.
The comedian even revealed that he looks at the boat as more of a problem than a business venture.
Pete Davidson is known for his out-of-pocket sense of humor and a personality that is unique in the most perfect way. He says some extremely hilarious things during his stand-up sets and when he is appearing on Saturday Night Live. While many might think that such a personality is an act that he plays up for an audience, the truth could not be further from it.

The comedian is known for engaging in bizarre things on camera just as much as he is when they are turned off. The perfect example of this would be a business venture he thought of with his co-star, Colin Jost.
In 2022, The New York Times reported that Pete Davidson and Colin Jost bought a decommissioned Staten Island Ferry. They had a very clear goal in mind when they purchased this run-down boat for $280,000; they wanted to turn it into an entertainment venue on the water. While the idea is excellent and their stardom would have certainly helped its success, there seemed to be other roadblocks in the way.

The purchase of the boat was almost two years ago. However, there is no indication of progress on their idea for it. Those who live around the area where the boat is docked, at Staten Island dock, told the New York Post that they have not seen any work being done on it.
Interestingly enough, both Davidson and Jost commented on the matter and their responses are quite hilarious.
Pete Davidson Finds The Matter To Be Funny
Pete Davidson was enquired about his Staten Island Ferry as well as why he bought it by Entertainment Weekly. His answer seems to be perfectly on brand for him. He revealed that he and Colin Jost were seriously intoxicated when they came up with the decision to buy the boat. Now, however, they have no idea what they are going to do with it.

“Yeah, if it’s not sunk!” Davidson said, “I have no idea what’s going on with that thing,” he added, shaking his head. “Me and Colin were very stoned a year ago and bought a ferry. And we’re figuring it out.”
He then went on to joke that if it has not sunk, he wishes for it to turn into a transformer and get out of his life. Jost also commented on what Davidson said on Instagram, stating that he was completely sober when they bought the boat. This fact makes the entire situation all the more hilarious.

“Is it worse that I was actually stone-cold sober when we bought the ferry?” Jost went on, “We’re excited to prove the non-believers wrong. You’re going to be BEGGING to get on this ferry in two years. Mark my words.”
Davidson and Jost are not the only celebrities to do such a thing as Nicolas Cage famously bought a mega yacht as well.
