The particular moment in question involves Amanda’s teenage son extracting his own teeth, a scene that was essential to the storyline but difficult for Roberts to watch.

The prosthetic teeth creator, Gary Archer, recalled how Roberts expressed her discomfort and eagerness to wrap up filming.

Interestingly, Roberts revealed that another film, “Notting Hill,” was also a challenge for her. Despite the acclaim she received for her role in the romantic comedy, she admitted to feeling awkward and unsure about playing a movie actress.
