Julia Roberts, the renowned actress, has starred in numerous films and series throughout her career. But it was her latest project, “Leave The World Behind,” that truly tested her limits. In this Netflix film, Roberts plays the role of Amanda, a mother whose son goes through a gruesome scene that left her feeling uncomfortable and disgusted.
The particular moment in question involves Amanda’s teenage son extracting his own teeth, a scene that was essential to the storyline but difficult for Roberts to watch.
The prosthetic teeth creator, Gary Archer, recalled how Roberts expressed her discomfort and eagerness to wrap up filming.
Interestingly, Roberts revealed that another film, “Notting Hill,” was also a challenge for her. Despite the acclaim she received for her role in the romantic comedy, she admitted to feeling awkward and unsure about playing a movie actress.
While Roberts may have found these filming experiences uncomfortable, she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of doing another romantic comedy if the script captivates her. With her talent and dedication to her craft, there’s no doubt that Julia Roberts will continue to shine on the big screen.
