Liam Neeson’s new action movie trailer is here and is hitting us with a bang!

Known for his role as the man who plays the hero and saves his family from impending doom you can probably guess the plot without our help.

Titled Retribution, Neeson plays an investment banker, Matt Turner, who has to save his family from a threat.

We see Turner and his kids being held hostage by an anonymous caller who hooked a bomb up to the families car- What is it with Neeson and scary phonecalls?

With the threat of the bomb detonating if he fails to follow instructions or he brings the car to an unsanctioned stop we then see a sequence of manoeuvres as well as big explosions in the trailer leaving us with a promise of an action-packed film.

While the movie may be quite similar to the plot of the movie Speed from 1994 starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock where they are on a bus rather than a car rigged with bombs, action-movie fans will be intrigued to learn that this movie is actually the third remake.

Beginning first with the Spanish movie called El Desconocido then the German version Don’t. Get Out! and South Korean Hard Target finally leaving us with the third remake, Retribution.

The American remake was originally supposed to come out in 2017 but the project ended up delayed.

The movie itself has an impressive crew behind the scenes with Nimrod Antal, director of Predators, in the big chair as well as some behind-the-scenes names from some other big films including Invasion, The Shattering and FBI: Most Wanted.

Liam Neeson will share the big screen with Jack Champion from Avatar: The Way of Water, Matthew Modine from Stranger Things and finally Arian Moayed from the hit show Succession.

Retribution will hit your big screens later this year on August 25!
