Liam Neeson has admitted than fans have written to him to reveal they are now too scared to travel after seeing his films.
The hugely popular Taken franchise has seen Neeson’s on-screen daughter kidnapped by human traffickers, before he is kidnapped alongside his wife in the sequel.
And now the actor has revealed that in hindsight, the films do not best promote travelling around the globe and have instead made people over-cautious.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, Liam explained: “Just the other day I got a letter from a school teacher in Texas who had tried to take 60 students to Europe and the families of 40 of them got the kids out of it because they had seen Taken 2.
“And then this year she wanted to take 20 of them and the parents all said, ‘No, because we’ve seen that movie!'”
The 62-year-old actor also revealed that he was reluctant to take on the third film after the second movie was released in 2012.

“I said the second one wouldn’t happen and I said I wouldn’t do a third one if someone got taken,” said Liam.
“It’s insulting to an audience as well as me. It’s a good storyline and I’m the hunted instead of the hunter.”

And while he might be pleased with the script this time around, the Star Wars actor revealed that he feels too much of it is given away in the previews.
“I hate trailers, they give everything away. There’s no mystery anymore.”
