Liam Neeson is back in action in another thrilling adventure in the trailer for Retribution.
The 71-year-old Taken star is showing no signs of slowing down on the action-flick front as the newly released trailer sees the Irishman in high-speed car chases, shootouts, and coming up against a number of frightening explosions.
Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions released the Retribution trailer yesterday for the Sky original, which is set to be released this August. Neeson plays American-born Berlin-based businessman Matt Turner.
In the trailer, we see Matt and his young children in the car when he receives a mysterious phone call from a distorted voice, informing him that there are bombs under each of the seats of the car. If he gets out, the bomb will go off.

Matt is then forced to drive around and asked to perform a number of horrendous tasks, including shooting one of his close friends.
The official synopsis for the film reads: “Trapped in their car in a high-speed chase across the city, Matt must follow the stranger’s increasingly dangerous instructions in a race against time to protect his family and solve the mystery that plays out over the course of one day.”
Neeson is no stranger to such a plotline, as two of his other successful flicks, The Commuter and Non-Stop, both saw him in a tense race against time. Neeson stars alongside Noma Dumezweni (The Little Mermaid), Lilly Aspell (Wonder Woman: 1984), Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Embeth Davidtz (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), and Matthew Modine (Stranger Things) in Retribution.
2023 looks like a busy year for Neeson in terms of new releases. t was recently announced that he would star alongside The Banshees of Inisherin star Kerry Condon in In The Land of Saints and Sinners. He is also set to appear in the action film Thug and the thriller Cold Storage.
