Liam Neeson’s new Netflix thriller dubbed ‘his best film since Taken’

A thriller new to Netflix is going down a treat with Liam Neeson fans.

In the Land of Saints and Sinners was added to Netflix on Friday, and fans have been comparing it to Taken.

Directed by Robert Lorenz, the film features a star-studded cast of Irish talent including Kerry Condon, Colm Meaney and Ciarán Hinds.

The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival last September, and has now made its way onto the popular streaming service.

Set in 1970s Ireland, the film follows Finbar Murphy (Liam Neeson), who leads a quiet life in the remote coastal town of Glencolmcille, far from the political violence that grips the rest of the country.

But when a menacing crew of terrorists arrive, led by a ruthless woman named Doirean (Kerry Condon), Finbar is drawn into an increasingly vicious game of cat and mouse, forcing him to choose between exposing his secret identity or defending his friends and neighbours.

Netflix viewers have been praising the film after discovering it on the streaming service.
