Dolly Parton and Keanu Reeves have a surprising connection!
“I remember Keanu when he was just little,” the “Jolene” singer recalled on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’

Some of the singer-songwriter’s most iconic looks, including her 1978 Playboy cover outfit, were designed by Reeves’ mother, costume designer Patricia Taylor — and Parton says a much younger Reeves often hung around while his mom worked.
“She did a lot of sewing for me, she did a lot of my clothes,” Parton, 77, said on The Drew Barrymore Show on Monday.
“But I remember Keanu when he was just little,” she continued. “And she would bring him over to my house when we were fitting or when I would go to the shop where she worked.”
Parton told host Drew Barrymore she was “doing a show somewhere” and Reeves — who “was already famous at the time” — knocked on her door.
“He said, ‘Do you remember me? I’m the little boy that used to sit at your feet when my mom was [working],” she recalled. “Of course I knew he had become a star but it didn’t connect to me that that was who that was.”
Barrymore, 48, also told the singer that Reeves’ wore the Playboy Bunny costume — a tidbit he revealed on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk two years ago.
“Did he? Aw, that’s sweet,” Parton said. “He’s great. He’s the sweetest guy.”

In 2021, Reeves reflected on the moment while chatting on Pinkett Smith’s talk show after a fan asked him about his favorite Halloween costumes growing up.
The John Wick star said that “somehow” Parton did not take the cover outfit home, “and so we had it, and it was Halloween.”
“So I put on the ears and the bustier. I wore sneakers with fishnet stockings and the bowtie. I had some pretty long hair,” he continued. “And I was Dolly Parton’s Playboy Bunny.”
During her The Drew Barrymore Show appearance, Parton also discussed her recent recreation of the ‘70s look.
In 2021, the “Jolene” singer celebrated her husband Carl Thomas Dean’s birthday by dressing up in the Playboy Bunny getup and documented the moment with a video shared on her social media accounts.
“You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this,” she began the clip. “Well, it’s for my husband’s birthday.
Remember some time back I said I was gonna pose on Playboy magazine when I’m 75? Well, I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore, but my husband always loved the original cover of Playboy.”
“I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy,” she said of her husband of over five decades. “He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not gonna try to talk him out of that.”
