Dame Dash Says He's Lost Respect For Diddy After Cassie Assault Footage
Dame Dash has lost respect for Diddy after footage of him assaulting Cassie emerged online.

The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder stopped by America Nu Network’s Choppin It Up on Tuesday (May 28) and expressed his disappointment in his fellow Hip Hop entrepreneur.

“I know Puff, so it’s very disappointing to see that from someone I consider my peer, someone that I’ve always … showed a certain degree of respect for,” he began. “You can’t unsee that, and it’s a really a shame. What I think when I see that is, number one, I got daughters … If that were something I were to see happening to my daughter — Puff, he’s dead. Again, I’d go do the time or try to figure out how not to have to go do the time, but I don’t think I could handle … any man touching or doing any kind of violence to my daughter.

“I saw the apology and I wondered, he has daughters. If I were to ask him a question, I’d ask, ‘What would you do if you saw a dude do that to your daughters? What should that person’s punishment be? Because that’s what yours should be.’

He added: “What’s problematic in a big way in the apology … Logically he’d already denied all that stuff … Now, because it came out, he’s saying sorry … Now it’s hard to believe anything else he says, and it’s hard not to believe anything Cassie’s alleging in the lawsuit.

“My issue is, anyone that knew that was going on that still work for that man is also a piece of shit. If you was watching that man abuse women … and just because of a check you helped cover it up? You deserve also what he gets or the buckshot of his karma.”

Shortly after Diddy apologized, it was reported that he told at least one close friend that there was a larger “agenda” surrounding the release of the assault video from 2016.

A source close to Diddy told The New York Post that the embattled mogul is furious about the clip’s release, and insists that it only tells half the story.

“He’s incensed,” the source said to the outlet. “Especially about the video. He insists it doesn’t tell the full story about what happened. Not that he’s excusing it, but he says that it’s a selected video.

“It’s his position that there was an agenda in releasing the video when it was released. But ultimately, he knows that his big concern is the raids on his house; the Cassie video is just a distraction.”

The source’s claim is buttressed by the fact that Diddy’s pinned tweet remains a statement from December 2023 that says his accusers, presumably including Cassie, are “individuals looking for a quick payday” while insisting that he “did not do any of the awful things being alleged.”
