DC boss James Gunn is most likely to star a new actor in the titular DC role as Batman soon and Ritchson could be the next best candidate for it. The Reacher star recently showed his deepest desire to play the iconic DC hero. “I would like to play Batman,” Ritchson told The Hollywood Reporter.

“There I said it! I’ll shout it from the rooftops. I want to be Bruce Wayne! Here’s the thing about Batman. You know wht his super power is? Intelligence. Dude is the smartest superhero there is. He’s inventive and he’s got all the gadgets but he’s super smart. I want to be that guy and also have a cave with super cars and also motorcycles.”

Ritchson would be a comic-book-accurate version of the character. And if Gunn considers the actor to be the next Caped Crusader, he could be a hit following the legacy of Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, or Robert Pattinson who played the Gotham hero with absolute charisma.
