Ryan Reynolds efforts of bringing back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine can help Alan Ritchson become Batman.

Alan Ritchson's Batman Campaign is Cool But Ryan Reynolds Has Gone Through Absolute Hell to Bring Back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

SUMMARY

Ever since the actor entered the realm of Marvel, Ryan Reynolds has wanted Deadpool to star with Wolverine.
His persistent and consistent efforts of seven years have finally borne fruits in the form of upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine.

The trailer for Deadpool & Wolverne’s second trailer was just posted hours ago by Ryan Reynolds. Although this might be the pretty first time that a trailer for a trailer has been released, fans are hardly surprised since it is Reynolds we are talking about. As the less than 40-second clip went viral, so did Reynolds’s sweet caption with it.

Stating that it has been seven years of him trying to get Wolverine with Deadpool, the efforts that Reynolds put into that dream casting would certainly have been gigantic. And they are nothing compared to Alan Ritchson’s Batman Campaign.

It was X-Men Origins: Wolverine that Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds first met, way back in 2009. While ever since they have gone on to become the best of friends and even have had a fun fake online rivalry, Reynolds has been trying to get Jackman to star along with his Deadpool for over seven years.

Over the years, there have been several times that Reynolds has spoken about how much he wants to make a Deadpool and Wolverine movie, a dream that is finally coming true.

Posted Reynolds, on his official X account, and fans could hardly contain their excitement for they to have been demanding Jackman to pick up his claws once again after he had hung them for good after 2017’s Logan.

As Jackman revealed in an old interview from 2022 it was Reynolds’ constant pestering that eventually brought him back (via Deadline), a fan complied several interviews of the Deadpool star stating he wants Wade Wilson to team up with Logan.

Even his Deadpool co-star, Karan Soni, in an interview with Variety, revealed how Reynolds had been working on bringing Wolverine years before he made the announcement. Stating that despite the studio getting sold to Disney and other troubles, his co-star was adamant about bringing Jackman back, and eventually, his efforts over the last seven years have come to fruition.

Alan Ritchson Should Learn From Ryan Reynolds if He Wants to Be Batman

Fans want Reacher star Alan Ritchson to be the new Batman

Stating that he has wanted a Deadpool & Wolverine movie since the day he was conceived (via The Hollywood Reporter), Ryan Reynolds’s efforts to bring Hugh Jackman has been an incredible feat, that really does not compare much to what Alan Ritchson has been doing.

Although his campaign and fan-casting as Batman are undeniably cool, Ritchson’s efforts have not been as persistent as Reynolds’s. Back in February, the actor had stated to BroBible’s Post Credit Podcast that it was a real honor that fans were considering him for such a popular role.

And now, recently, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Reacher star declared that he would love to be Batman. While it is clear that Ritchson is dedicated to securing such a role, he is not as persistent as Reynolds was and should probably put in more effort if he ever wants to don the iconic black cape.

Although the decision ultimately rests with James Gunn, his passion for the character is admirable and fans hope that just like Reynolds’ long dream of having a Deadpool & Wolverine movie was realized, Ritchson too gets to live his dream of playing Batman.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be in theatres on July 26, 2024.
