As REACHER star Alan Ritchson books new roles, fans are starting to wonder how long he’ll stick with the popular Amazon Prime series.

“I owe it to the audience to explore as many of these books as my body will allow, and I owe it to the people that took a shot on me when I was a huge risk for them. They have given me a real career,” Ritchson told The Hollywood Reporter.
Jennifer Stalke, head of Amazon Studios, told TV Insider, “He’s got movies in the works with us, series ideas. It’s not about the volume but about picking a few really special things. We’ll have Alan as long as he will play Jack Reacher. No end in sight for that, hopefully that’s for a very, very, very long time.”
“Amazon especially has really shown their commitment to our future together with our deals and what we have,” he added, noting that the studio has taken care of him “very well.”
“To me, REACHER has and always will be a fight to prove that they made the right decision. On set, I am always thinking, ‘How can I work hard enough to make them feel good?’ It’ll never go away,” Ritchson said. “What got me ready for REACHER was all the losses that I took early on.”
Following the release of Season 2, REACHER found itself at No. 2 on Neilsen’s charts.
“REACHER returned to Nielsen’s streaming top 10 at No. 2 during the Dec. 11-17 viewing window following the release of the first three episodes in Season 2 on Dec. 15,” Variety reported. “In its first three days of availability, the series snagged 1.7 billion viewing minutes.”.”
Movieguide® previously reported on the confirmation of REACHER Season 3:
REACHER will return for a third season, and star Alan Ritchson just revealed which Lee Child book the next season will be based on.
“Sometimes there’s more to lobstah than just ice-cold lobstah!” Ritchson wrote on Instagram.
A few days ago, the actor teased the next season with a picture of a lobster. “Details matter season 3 of #Reacher… especially at crafty,” he said.
Based on the post, his followers guessed Season 3 would be based on Child’s book “Persuader,” which is set in Maine.
“‘Pursuader’ is one of the best books there is. I can’t wait for you to see this season,” Ritchson said.
