Reacher is returning with season 2, and the ensemble is very different from the group of season 1. With the exception of two series regulars, nearly the whole cast of the Amazon Prime Video series is new in its second season, which picks up more than two years after the events of the first season finale.
While Lee Child’s Killing Floor, the first book in the Jack Reacher series, served as the basis for Reacher season 1, season 2 adapts Bad Luck and Trouble, the eleventh book. To make way for new characters in the second season, the writers were forced to eliminate a large number of characters from the first eight episodes.
The action thriller television series appears to be following an anthology approach, which means that a new novel will be adapted for each season, and the cast will be changing frequently.
Viewers are introduced to new people in the first episode of Reacher season 2, which debuted on December 15, 2023, and picks up two years, seven months, and 19 days after Jack Reacher departed Margrave. The 110th Special Investigations Unit members—as well as a few other players—are introduced in the second season.
Here is the list of Reacher Season 2 Cast:
Alan Ritchson In the role of Jack Reacher
Naturally, without the title character, Reacher wouldn’t be the same, so in season two, Alan Ritchson reprises his role as Jack Reacher. In the upcoming episodes, Reacher has resumed his self-described hobo lifestyle after the horrific events of the first season finale.
However, when Calvin Franz, a fellow member of the US Army 110th MP Special Investigations Unit, is killed, he becomes entangled in yet another mystery. In New York, he meets up with Frances Neagley again, and the two of them go out to find more former members of the unit to look into Franz’s death.

Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten
The only other original cast member from Reacher’s first season to return as a series regular in its second is Maria Sten, who plays corporate security expert Frances Neagley. Ritchson plays Reacher. After Franz is killed, Neagley contacts Reacher, who instantly boards the next flight to New York to assist her with the investigation.
They bring back together the 110th Special Investigations Unit, one of the most important teams in the literature. Viewers may be familiar with Sten from TV shows like Swamp Thing and Channel Zero: The Dream Door. In addition, the Danish actress created an episode for Big Sky and was crowned Miss Denmark Universe in 2008.
Karla Dixon, played by Serinda Swan
Serinda Swan makes her Reacher unit debut in season two as Karla Dixon, a forensic accountant specializing in corporate risk management. When Reacher and Neagley call, she takes their call and assists them in looking into Franz’s death.
It’s clear from the beginning that Reacher and Dixon had chemistry, even though they didn’t act on it (until episode 2). Whether or not their romance develops into something more in the second season remains to be seen.
Swan starred in numerous television programs, including Chicago Fire, Inhumans, Ballers, Coroner, Smallville, Graceland, and many more before joining the cast of the action thriller series. She has acted in films, including Devotion and Redemption Day.
David O’Donnell, played by Shaun Sipos
In Reacher season 2, Shaun Sipos portrays David O’Donnell, a different member of the 110th Special Investigations Unit. Dixon and O’Donnell go to New York to assist Reacher and Neagley in their investigation into Franz’s murder. Even though O’Donnell is a family man and a lawyer now, he nevertheless occasionally slips back into his old ways as an investigator and expert combatant.
Sipos has starred in a number of television shows, including Complete Savages, Life Unexpected, Melrose Place, The Vampire Diaries, Texas Chainsaw 3D, Krypton, and Outer Range, in addition to the Amazon Prime Video series.
Naturally, without villains, Reacher season 2 would not be complete, and Ferdinand Kingsley portrays one of them. A.M. is a terrorist weapons purchaser and mercenary who goes by several aliases, including Andrew McBride and Adrian Mount (hence his shortened moniker).
As seen in episode 3, the adversary is also collaborating with another villain (more on them later). Kingsley’s performances as Mr. Francatelli in Victoria, Irving Thalberg in Mank, Hob Gadling in The Sandman, George Wilkins in Silo, and Hamza Bey in Dracula Untold may be familiar to viewers.
Stephen A. as Shane Langston
The head of security for a private military contractor named Shane Langston, played by Robert Patrick, is the second antagonist in The Reacher season 2. In a flashback, Franz is shown being tortured by Langston. In this scene, Franz is seen making fun of the antagonist by saying that Reacher will come for him once he finds out about the murders.
While Langston is collaborating with A.M., the details of their sinister scheme remain to be seen. Patrick had experience playing villains in television series and motion pictures even before he starred in The Reacher.
In addition to Spy Kids, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Walk the Line, The X-Files, The Unit, Sons of Anarchy, Peacemaker, and Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the actor starred in these and other films.
Characters & Supporting Cast for Reacher Season 2
Domenick Lombardozzi portrays Gaitano “Guy” Russo, an NYPD cop who is wary of Reacher. Reacher season 2 is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The actor may be recognizable to viewers from Entourage, A Bronx Tale, The Irishman, The Wire, Tulsa King, and Bridge of Spies.
Andres Collantes as Jorge Sanchez: In the action crime series, Andres Collantes plays Jorge Sanchez, a former member of the 110th Special Investigations Unit. While searching for Sanchez in Atlantic City, the reorganized team receives unpleasant news. Collantes had earlier roles in the television series iZombie, A Million Little Things, and The Night Agent.
Edsson Morales as Manuel Orozco: Similar to Sanchez, Manuel Orozco was a member of Reacher’s team before going missing. Morales starred in Lost Girl, Rookie Blue, Reign, Black Summer, and Awake before landing the role of lead in Reacher.
Luke Bilyk as Calvin Franz: Reacher season 2’s Luke Bilyk’s tenure as Calvin Franz is brief because the tale opens with his murder in the premiere. Bilyk has a few more credits in films and television shows, such as DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Kiss and Cry, F the Prom, and Degrassi: The Next Generation.
Shannon Kook as Tony Swan: In the second season of the Amazon Prime Video series, Shannon Kook plays Tony Swan, a member of the 110th Special Investigations Unit. By the end of episode 3, though, his standing as a hero or villain is called into question. Viewers may be familiar with Kook from his roles in the Conjuring film series and television shows including
The Next Generation, and Shadowhunters. Stanley Lowrey, played by Dean McKenzie – Dean McKenzie, who portrays Stanley Lowrey, the senior Special Investigator and skilled marksman, is the last member of the supporting cast of the action-crime television series.
Regretfully, episode 1 makes clear that Stanley passed away a few years ago. McKenzie starred in The X-Files, Vertical Limit, Exit Wounds, Shooter, Arrow, Riverdale, and Supernatural in addition to Reacher season 2.
