Alan Ritchson Returns As Reacher

Considering the anthology style of Reacher‘s stories, it isn’t easy to speculate who will appear in the cast of the third season. Obviously, Alan Ritchson will reprise his role as the heavily muscled Reacher, and it has been confirmed that Maria Stern will return as Frances Neagley. The rest of the cast will probably be new, as each of Reacher’s adventures introduces new faces.

Season 3 has added a slew of new cast members, including Anthony Michael Hall’s corrupt businessman Zachary Beck, and Sonya Cassidy’s DEA Agent Susan Duffy. Brian Tee has been cast as the villainous Quinn, a man with a connection to Reacher’s shadowy past.

Season 3 Adapts The Book Persuader

After much speculation surrounding which of Lee Child’s novels would be the subject of season 3, series star Alan Richson finally put the issue to bed when he announced in January 2024 that Persuader would be the source.

The seventh Reacher book, Persuader follows the titular hero as he is enlisted to help bring down a powerful drug kingpin by infiltrating his operation. Meanwhile, Reacher is also tasked with rescuing an undercover DEA Agent who is deep within the organization and is quickly losing his cover.

Though each season has used the books as a jumping-off point, Reacher season 3 will not be following the novel to the letter, as evidenced by the return of Frances Neagley. Reacher’s partner and confidant has been a part of every season thus far, and Stern is already confirmed to return in season 3, even though Neagley was not a character in Child’s Persuader.
