Being a huge Yellowstone fan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, 76, has been itching to collaborate with Taylor Sheridan on a project.
SUMMARY
Hollywood legend and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has stated that he would like to work with Taylor Sheridan.
In an interview with THR, Schwarzenegger revealed that his motivation for working with Sheridan was to compete with his longtime rival, Sylvester Stallone.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Hollywood icon and former Governor of California, has previously expressed a desire to collaborate with Taylor Sheridan, the acclaimed writer-director-producer. But the reason for his interest is not what you might expect.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter last year, Schwarzenegger revealed a surprising reason for wanting to collaborate with the acclaimed Yellowstone showrunner.
The action star, 76, revealed that his desire to work with Sheridan stems from a desire to compete with his longtime rival, Sylvester Stallone.

“It was a competition against Sly,” he said, referring to his Escape Plan co-star. While the reasoning may seem a bit odd, it’s hard to argue with the rapport that Schwarzenegger and Sheridan could bring to the table.
Sheridan is known for his gripping and intense storytelling, while Schwarzenegger has proven time and time again that he can bring both humor and heart to his performances. So we can expect something good from this collaboration.
Arnold Schwarzenegger Has A Keen Interest In Working With Taylor Sheridan
Arnold Schwarzenegger has always been known for his larger-than-life personality as well as his unique sense of humor.
So it should come as no surprise that he has one of the weirdest motivations for wanting to work with Taylor Sheridan, the acclaimed writer-director behind hits like Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Schwarzenegger expressed his desire to work with Yellowstone co-creator Sheridan on a new project.
This is partly because of the former’s immense love for Yellowstone, but it is also because of what Sheridan can do with other big names; Tulsa King, his Sylvester Stallone-led Paramount+ series, is proof of this.
Arnold Schwarzenegger in and as The Terminator
“Absolutely! I think he’s very talented. And the cast on [Yellowstone] is phenomenal. Today, I see much more of other people’s performances than I did in the ’80s, when I was only seeing myself.
I was thinking: ‘I have to win.’ It was a competition against Sly, against others. ‘I have to be number one.’”
Of course, Schwarzenegger’s remarks were made in jest, but they highlight the actor’s playful personality and ability to find humor in the most unexpected places.
And who knows? Maybe Sheridan will take note of Schwarzenegger’s snack-related enthusiasm and work it into their future collaborations.
Where In Yellowstone’s Future Could Arnold Schwarzenegger Appear?
Future plans for the Yellowstone franchise are just as murky as past ones. Given that Kevin Costner is departing Yellowstone (see LA Times), the Dutton family patriarch will be leaving with him.
With so few opportunities for the program to return to its previous height, Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 will mark the end of the original series. That might spell trouble for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s dreams.
Fortunately, there is still hope after the finale. Future stars will have another opportunity to enter the universe with Matthew McConaughey’s upcoming sequel show, titled 2024.
Furthermore, they ought to continue delving into the Duttons’ extensive family history in upcoming episodes.
Also, with the Dutton family ruling Montana for over a century, Schwarzenegger would have many opportunities to make appearances on screen and even land a major role.
There is also a third planned spin-off for Yellowstone called 6666, which raises the actor’s probability of entering the universe without using the Dutton name.
