“Robin’s highs were so high and his lows were often low,” she said, “When you did have that kind of fame, drugs were just given to you,”
With it being a known fact that the actor was full of energy when performing on stage, many started to speculate that he had turned to cocaine to maintain this reputation.

Robin Williams Became A Monster After Doing Drugs
According to FoxNews, this wasn’t even the worst of it. Mike Binder, filmmaker, comedian, and close friend to Robin Williams recalled one specific instance that made him extremely concerned about the actor’s well-being and had him genuinely frightened.
Once, when the two were hanging out together, Williams came across “a gram of coke” that made him fixated and he asked the filmmaker if he could have some. After getting his permission, the actor went into the washroom to do exactly what he said.

“Robin said, ‘Let me take that. Do you mind if I grab a hit off that in the bathroom?’”
Binder recalled in the documentary. “He came back, and it was empty. It was like, ‘Whoa.’ It was like 8:15 at night.”
he said, “It was an accident, I’m sorry,” Binder said the comedian responded after being called out for taking the entire gram. “With drugs, he was a monster.”
Upon returning, Binder discovered that the entire gram of cocaine was over, used by Williams on his own.
When asked about this, the actor tried justifying this excess of use, stating that it was an accident and apologizing.
Despite this, the filmmaker was extremely concerned and stated that when it came to drugs, Williams was a monster and completely unlike himself.
