This handwritten message says it all.
We love it when celebrities impersonate each other and, in case you missed it, this weekend Selena Gomez did a pretty major Miley Cyrus imitation as she delivered her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live.
Selena, who co-stars alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short in the series Only Murders In The Building, explains that she turned to the SNL regulars for advice.
“It’s cool being around two SNL legends. When I found out I was hosting, I immediately asked for their advice.”
Selena went on to explain that she also asked “one of my oldest friends, Miley Cyrus”, who has previously guest-starred on the show, for any tips.
Miley’s response, according to Selena, was “just have yourself and be fun” – a line that Gomez delivered in a pretty convincing Miley voice.
“I was like, ‘Miley, is that just an excuse for me to do an impression of you?’ ” Gomez added, “and she’s like, ‘Hell yeah, I’m Miley Cyrus.'”
Iconic, right?
Well, now Miley’s just gone and responded to the light-hearted impression in a glorious way: with a custom tank top.
Overnight, Miley took to Instagram to share a pic of her in bed, sipping a green tea (such a vibe, might I add) while wearing a ribbed white vest with the words “Hell Yeah I’m Miley Cyrus” written across the front.
The star repeated the phrase in the caption, tagging Selena and SNL at the same time.
