Hilton revealed that the two spoke with each other for hours per day during the peak of their friendship, with him jokingly calling her “wifey”.
“As she became Lady Gaga to the world, she began drinking in a different, more serious way, while also popping all kinds of pills.”
In her interview with Vanity Fair magazine in 2010, Gaga overshared about her s*x life and drug use. She shared that she was terrified of heroin but used to abuse ‘mostly’ cocaine.
She added, “I won’t lie; it’s occasional. And when I say occasional, I mean maybe a couple of times a year” (via ABC News).
During her interview with Z100 radio station in 2013, she once again opened up about her addiction issues. Her hip injury forced her to take pain medications, and the Joker: Folie à Deux actress revealed taking 15-20 marijuana cigarettes per day.
She explained her condition, stating, “I didn’t know where the pain was coming from so I was just in a lot of pain and very depressed all the time and not really sure why” (via NME).
In 2017, Gaga released a Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, where she opened up about her struggles with drug abuse and mental health. In a 2020 podcast with Zane Lowe, Gaga revealed that she had quit smoking completely and was contemplating sobriety by giving up alcohol.

Hilton then began to trash Aguilera and her flopped album, Bionic, in his column. Reflecting back, Hilton believed that Gaga was using him as a tool to take down her rivals.
He stated that she never explicitly asked him to do so, but made him feel like he had to do something for his friend. Hilton shared:
“Looking back now, it’s one of the things I’m most ashamed of, and I can also see that Gaga was using me as a tool — not only against Christina but against other rivals too.
She never explicitly asked me to write nasty things about people, but by moaning to me she made me feel like I, her best friend, should do something about it.”
In 2023, Celebrity Net Worth estimated Lady Gaga’s net worth at $320 million. This is double the figure Forbes estimated back in 2021.
Her most recent fame and money come from touring, films, and her former two-year Las Vegas residency deal. Lady Gaga has won two Grammy Awards and one Oscar for Best Original Song for the song Shallow in A Star is Born.
