James Bond films are never complete without the famous Bond girls flaunting their raw beauty, but Daniel Craig has saved an actress from stripping naked on screen.

Bond girls are stapled characters in the franchise, and each Bond film has its own signature femme fatale character.
Although for Daniel Craig, the idea of having “Bond girls” seemed non-existent.
Daniel Craig Prevented Unnecessary Nude Scene In His First James Bond Film
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, James Bond star Daniel Craig noted the difference between his version of the movie as compared to the previous films and the upcoming ones:
“No more Bond girls. They don’t exist anymore. They may exist again, but not in my movies.”
Throughout the years, there has been an evolution of female characters in the James Bond franchise.
Bond girls are often portrayed as eye candies or sexual objects, which the actor emphasized as non-existent in his films.
Speaking with Vanity Fair, the Knives Out star reiterated that he could not discuss anything that relates to the Bond girls:
“I don’t even call them Bond girls. I’m not going to deny it to anybody else.
It’s just I can’t have a sensible conversation with somebody if we’re talking about ‘Bond girls.’”
Eva Green as Vesper Lynd
French star Eva Green played Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, and one scene required her to undress in front of the camera.
The actress proposed not to do it as it seemed unnecessary for the character to strip naked while feeling upset (via The Guardian):
“In the shower scene – you remember? – they wanted me to strip down to my panties.
We had a good fight about that. I used to go to Daniel and ask for his support.”
Green has done nude movies before, having starred in Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Dreamers, which the actress admitted as quite “troubling”.
Daniel Craig Wanted To Change The Role Of Women In James Bond
Daniel Craig as James Bond in No Time To Die (2021)
Daniel Craig had a different perspective when it came to female roles in the James Bond franchise.
The character is notoriously known for his charm with the ladies, something that the actor wanted to reform (via The Hollywood Reporter):
“Many men admire Bond for his way with the ladies, but let’s not forget that he’s actually a misogynist.
A lot of women are drawn to him chiefly because he embodies a certain kind of danger and never sticks around for too long.”
Craig intended to fight off misogyny in his movies by pitting the lead star against strong female characters. He shared why in recent films, Bond has become quite a gentleman:
“That’s because we’ve surrounded him with very strong women who have no problem putting him in his place.”
Despite the criticism, the 55-year-old star had something nice to say about James Bond:
“He’s a considerate person, he takes care of business, and he looks out for other people and his family. He’s someone who opens doors for people — for everyone, that is, not just women.”
Daniel Craig’s final stint as James Bond wrapped up in 2021’s No Time to Die, which received critical praise and emerged as a successful conclusion to the franchise.
His other movie credits as the famed British spy include Quantum of Solace (2008), Skyfall (2012), and Spectre (2015).
