The news that Tom Cruise wanted to “do it for real” in the hit movie 24 years ago surprised many people.

Recently, HK01 newspaper suddenly “revealed” information that Tom Cruise once wanted to act in a real sex scene in the movie  Eyes Wide Shut (1999) . 

The co-star in  Eyes Wide Shut is Nicole Kidman – then Tom Cruise’s real-life wife (the couple divorced in 2001).

HK01 newspaper said that when filming Eyes Wide Shut , the actor born in 1952 refused to use a stunt double, insisting on “doing it for real” with his wife Nicole Kidman. 

However, Nicole Kidman refused her husband’s request.

The star born in 1967 once answered in an interview: “Tom wanted to do all the love scenes in the movie, but I didn’t.

While Tom was accused by his ex-wife of wanting to act in a really hot scene, another of his co-stars – Lea Thompson, praised the actor. 

 Thompson said that according to the script, she had two scenes showing off her breasts in the movie. 

However, the actress did not audition because she did not want to take off her clothes on screen. In the end, Lea Thompson still got the role.

At that time, Tom – her main co-star tried to persuade the film crew to reduce Lea Thompson’s nude scenes. “If Tom wanted to have a nude scene, I wouldn’t hesitate.
