Sean Kingston Charged With Stealing $480K In Jewelry, More In Theft & Fraud Case
Sean Kingston has been hit with a myriad of charges in South Florida, including stealing nearly half a million dollars in jewelry.

According to Rolling Stone, the “Beautiful Girls” singer is facing grand theft charges after he allegedly stole the jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and a custom bed worth more than $80,000.

Kingston is also accused of defrauding banks of more than $45,000, violating his probation for trafficking stolen property, and writing bad checks. In total, he faces 10 different charges.

Earlier this week, Kingston was arrested during a concert performance in California on charges of fraud and theft.

He was in the state to perform at Fort Irwin for U.S. Army personnel, with video footage of the event showing law enforcement watching on as he sang his 2010 hit “Eenie Meenie.”

That same day, Kingston’s mother Janice Turner was arrested on numerous fraud and theft charges.

Following the initial raid in Florida and his mother’s arrest, Kingston took to social media to clear his name.

“People love negative energy!” he posted on Instagram. “I am good and so is my mother! My lawyers are handling everything as we speak.”

The arrests relate to a lawsuit filed against Kingston earlier this year by a company called Ver Ver Entertainment LLC, who are accusing the “Beautiful Girls” star of breach of contract and fraud after he reached out to the company to purchase a large TV and sound system.

In exchange for the electronics, which would have cost over $100,000, Kingston allegedly promised to make promotional videos for the products with Justin Bieber, who he worked with on “Eeenie Meenie.”

Kingston paid a $30,000 down payment for the goods and agreed to make a second payment of $47,000, while the rest of the total would be paid for in social media posts.

According to the lawsuit, Kingston failed to make the second payment after the TV was installed and did not make any of the social media posts.
