Snoop Dogg and a Corona commercial ad campaign go together like a Corona beer and a lime. “La Vida Mas Fina” is the name of a 2023 advertising campaign from the marketing gurus at MullenLowe, Corona’s ad agency. Their invitation for customers to enjoy “the Fine Life” is highly enticing considering how Snoop looks hanging out on beaches and (almost) sipping ice-cold Corona beers. It’s a similar idea to an ad campaign from 2022 that saw professional basketball players hanging out in similar circumstances.

Snoop Dogg is a movie star, TV star, rapper, and all-around celebrity — a true Renaissance man — so he’s surrounded by a wider range of celebrity friends while partying on the beach. It’s the interactions between these disparate personalities that make the commercials such an enjoyable watch. Celebrity cameos have always been a great way to advertise, and Corona goes all in on its spokespeople, making for a funny and, most importantly, memorable entry in the beer commercial canon.

Andy Samberg Appeared With Snoop Dogg In Several Corona Commercials

Snoop & Samberg’s Personas Complement Each Other Nicely In The Ad

Andy Samberg is one of the celebrities who appears with Snoop in several commercials. One of their notable partnerships is only 30 seconds, but that’s plenty of time for Samberg to make things awkward. Samberg and Snoop are sitting next to one another and slowly start trying to rap about the things they see. Samberg inevitably takes things a bit too far and makes a fool of himself in front of a rap legend. Snoop doesn’t mince words, “It was incredible… ly bad“, he deadpans. But Samberg’s lackluster rhymes aren’t a problem because he and Snoop have Coronas; everything’s good.

As a member of The Lonely Island, Samberg’s rapping sounds pretty good. In fact, before Snoop interrupts to tell him to stop, it almost seems like the pair are about to break out into a duet.

It’s a good use of both of these celebrities’ personas. Samberg, the SNL icon and star of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, is great as the goofy counter to Snoop’s chill character. In fact, before Snoop interrupts to tell him to stop, it almost seems like the pair are about to break out into a duet. It wouldn’t be the first time Snoop joined in on a goofy rap with a funny, curly-haired musician; just listen to “Professional Rapper” with Lil Dicky to hear how it could have gone down.

Karol G & Eli Manning Have Appeared In Snoop Dogg Commercials

Colombian artist Karol G and former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning appear in some of Snoop’s commercials too. In one of Karol G’s commercials, Snoop and Karol G begin clinking out a head-bopping tune by tapping their Corona glasses, only for Samberg to interrupt by playing a conch shell like a flute.

In Eli Manning’s ad, Samberg gives Snoop and Manning tiny drink umbrellas to protect their beers. The rapper and athlete are genuinely thankful and Samberg tears up, glad to be appreciated. Snoop is cool, Karol G is having fun, Manning is taking a load off, and Samberg is being a goof. Corona’s message is clear: anyone and everyone can enjoy their beer and “La Vida Mas Fina”.
