Living On A Prayer: Jon Bon Jovi makes superfan’s dream come true as he walks her down the aisle at the same Las Vegas chapel he was married in

This was one prayer that was most definitely answered.

One lucky Bon Jovi superfan will never forget her wedding day, after successfully campaigning for months to get lead singer Jon Bon Jovi to walk her down the aisle on her big day.

Australian Branka Delic was determined to make her long-held dream come true, even going so far as to tie the knot on October 12 at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada – the same church in which the musician wed his high-school sweetheart, Dorothea, 24 years ago.

The bride-to-be set up a website with fiancé Gonzalo Cladera, asking the 51-year-old to participate in their ceremony, which was taking place the same day the band were scheduled to perform at the MGM Grand as part of their Because We Can tour.

‘All her life, Branka thought she would marry Bon Jovi himself. Sadly, at the age of 34 she realised this would never happen, and she accepted Gonzo’s proposal instead,’ she wrote on the couple’s website, bonjoviwalkmedowntheaisle.com.

‘She might not be marrying Bon Jovi, but the next best option is for her to walk down the same aisle he did 20 good strong years ago, so the stage has been set… The Graceland Chapel, Las Vegas Nevada.

‘In Branka’s mind, the wedding gods have come together because JBJ is performing at MGM Grand that same night. The only problem is there’s a real chance Branka will skip out on the wedding and go to the concert instead.’

To Branka’s complete surprise, the father-of-four granted her request and happily strolled arm-in-arm with her down the aisle as an Elvis impersonator presided over the nuptials.

The blushing bride looked stunning in her form-fitting strapless gown, which featured plenty of glitzy embellishments, and with her long brown hair down in soft curls.

She accessorised with ruby red heels and a black bouquet of calla lilies and feathers – though her best accessory was undoubtedly the beaming singer on her arm who she was clearly reluctant to let go of.

‘He walked me down the aisle and he was trying to give me to Gonz, but I wouldn’t let go,’ Branka told the Hornsby Advocate. ‘I didn’t cry because I didn’t want to ruin my make-up and look awful.’

The couple didn’t want to get their hopes up, but two days before departing Sydney for the States, Bon Jovi’s Australian management hinted that it may happen.

When the big day came, the bride was in the thick of getting her hair and make-up done when she received the call that a limo was on its way to pick her up – and hour earlier than their scheduled ceremony time.

‘I dropped the phone and said, “Get me in that dress now!”‘ she laughs. ‘You have never seen a bride get ready so quickly.’

However, she was still concerned that it was all an elaborate hoax even as they pulled up to the chapel and saw another limo waiting.

‘I said to Gonzo, “If this is some sick joke, I am going to cry.” Then I saw his silhouette in the limo. He got out and said, “Hey, you look beautiful.”‘

The Bed Of Roses singer was appropriately dressed for the low-key nuptials in blue jeans, black boots and a smart white shirt.

Groom Gonzo, however, went all-out in a country-music-inspired black suit and red shirt that matched nicely with Elvis’s bejewelled jumpsuit.

‘You did more than make my dream come true, you changed my life forever! An amazing man with an amazing generous heart,’ the still in awe new Mrs Cladera tweeted after the formalities concluded.

‘I have memories for life which I’ll never forget. Such an amazing man to take time from his schedule to come walk this crazy Aussie down the aisle… Jon….. I salute!’

While Jon wrote on his official website, ‘Congratulations @branksd! May you & Gonzalo have a lifetime of happiness, love & memories together – ALWAYS!’
