It’s been too long since Liam Neeson has delivered some justice on the big screen.

But the internationally acclaimed actor is back and as tough and intense as ever.

The 60-year-old star was seen aiming a pistol and shooting a stuntman during a rather intense scene for his new movie A Walk Among The Tombstones in Manhattan on Monday.

Neeson wore a brown corduroy jacket, blue scarf and black shirt as part of his character’s wardrobe.

He also jokingly checked on the stuntman he shot during a particular scene.

In the film, the Taken-franchiser plays a recovering alcoholic private detective named Michael Scudder, who helps drug traffickers to track down violent murderers and bring them to bloody justice.

Also starring with Neeson in the film is Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens and Anna Karenina’s Ruth Wilson.

A Walk Among the Tombstones is based on the book of the same name by acclaimed mystery writer Lawrence Block, whose Scudder-character appears in 18 different novels since the mid-70’s.

However, this is the first time the character has been adapted to the big screen since Jeff Bridges played him in the 1986 film 8 MIllion Ways to Die.

Neeson also made entertainment industry news last week regarding a lawsuit he and A-Team co-star Bradley Cooper are reported to have filed against two home video companies.

According to TMZ, the lawsuit claims that the faces of both actors have been used in advertisements by the two home video companies without their permission.

Both A-list leading men want the advertisements removed immediately and damages for being used by Vutec Corporation and First Impressions Theme Theaters without their permission.
